1972
Due to high demand for a local estate agent, Roger Roberts founds the first estate agency in Ystradgynlais in the former Anne’s Pantry shop on Heol Eglwys.
1973
Roberts Homes is a great success and Roger purchases the the old veterinary surgery at 18 Station Road, and the premises becomes the Roberts Homes office until the present day.
1986
Anne Roberts takes over the business shortly after the birth of her daughter Jessica
2003
Anne’s daughter Jessica Roberts joins the company at the age of 16 working evenings and weekends whilst still at school. Joining full-time after her A-levels
2016
To fill the void left by the closure of the Halifax, Roberts Homes opens a Principality Building society agency in its place to provide local residents easy access for savings.
2020
Roberts Homes estate agency is closed from March to June 2020 following the national Covid19 lockdown. The Principality Building Society agency is still staffed part-time due to it being an essential service in Ystradgynlais.
Roberts Homes estate agency staff return to work in the summer of 2020 wearing facemasks and gloves, and face a market that has gone into overdrive.
Roberts Homes is the first agent in the area to offer video tours for each and every one of their properties (initially to provide ‘virtual viewings’ in the case of another lockdown). Property video tours are so popular that they continue a core part of property marketing.

Roberts Homes undergoes a lot of changes including new branding, new systems, and a new website.
